EarSprout does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device.
The Voice Tuner and singing drills (Sing Intervals, Melody Echo, and the Kids Mode singing game) use your device's microphone to detect the pitch you sing, in real time, entirely on-device. Audio is never recorded to a file, never stored, and never leaves your device. Once a listening session ends, the audio is discarded immediately.
EarSprout Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. EarSprout never sees your payment details — that information is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. EarSprout only checks with Apple whether your Apple ID has purchased the unlock, to enable Pro features on your device.

This data stays in the app's local storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data. It is never backed up to any server we control, because we don't operate any server.
EarSprout includes an optional Kids Mode intended for use by children under a parent's supervision. Kids Mode does not collect any personal information from children, contains no ads, no links to external websites, and no in-app purchase prompts while active. Exiting Kids Mode requires answering a simple math question intended for a parent or older user.
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version adds a feature that involves data collection — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
