Is EarSprout free?
Yes. The core app — ear training, intervals, chord quality, basic scales, and the voice tuner — is free forever. EarSprout Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription) that unlocks 7th chords, advanced scales, and the voice-based drills (Sing Intervals, Melody Echo, and the Kids Mode singing games).
How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?
Open Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used originally.
Why does EarSprout need microphone access?
The Voice Tuner and singing drills (Sing Intervals, Melody Echo, Copy Cat Singer) use the microphone to detect the pitch you're singing in real time. All audio processing happens entirely on your device — nothing is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
Does EarSprout collect any personal data?
No. There are no accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your progress and settings are stored locally on your device only.
